Generative Facilitation Institute

The GFI was founded by Christine Wank and is dedicated to providing unique learning opportunities for facilitators, leaders, and changemakers. Given the dramatic disruptive changes of our time, we want to spark dialogue around the question of what kind of facilitation and leadership is needed today to allow deeper transformational shifts to happen.

We believe that it takes facilitators and leaders ready to link the outer with the inner dimension of facilitation and leadership and to be able to integrate the intelligence of the head, heart and hands for leveraging impact and meaningful change. Therefore, we aim to offer a space for building the capacity in facilitators and leaders necessary to bring innovation to our systems and navigate journeys of collective discovery around what our best future might look like.

The Generative Facilitation Institute is held by both a core Team and many affiliated and dedicated teams and experts in the field and from around the globe. Our highly experienced international Faculty includes permanent and visiting members who run and hold the various programs. Our Cooperation Partners support the generative facilitation work of the Team and allow for a close link to the practice field.

Coming from a cross-disciplinary approach and honoring the fact that the larger questions of our times cannot be addressed by a small group alone, we are grateful to have a Wisdom Council consisting of some of the highly experienced and wise individuals in the field of generative facilitation. They allow us to hold our work from a larger perspective and ask the right questions for our time, including how best to support our facilitators and leaders and what kind of facilitation and leadership is called for in order to make the necessary transformations happen.
